During one of my semester holidays I have been to kodai for serving Sri Sathya Sai organization. One evening after dharshan a very old man in wheelchair was waiting for some sevadal to help him outside. Fortunately it happened to be me. He was quite bulky and it was a very steep slope outside. I somehow maneuvered between the crowd and managed take him till his car. I saw his wife waiting for him near the car, both of us helped him get inside the car. When I was about to leave, they said, with tears rolling down their eyes, "God bless you my son" and blessed me keeping their hands on my head. God!!!! I was moved, the best feeling I ever had in life. It was above all feelings, beyond body, mind and senses. That is LOVE. That is GOD. I forgot their faces the moment I left that place, and they too would have forgotten mine, but still, the feeling remains fresh. If anyone of us could always stay in that plane consistently, we are GOD :) That's my perception. That perpetual love is God. Just imagine how Mother Teresa would have felt? The incident I mentioned above would be equal to the smallest fraction of her experience raised to exponential negative powers :) I am not aware of her history, all I know is that she served people without any favor in return. She might not god but the feeling that she experienced is God. We are all made of the same stuff, unfortunately its been adulterated, right from our childhood.
As we grow up, we take everything serious except love. In corporates and business firms the word mercy and love is banned. Anger is justified in business. I have heard people say Do business from your head and service from your heart. I am ok with the latter, not the first one. I know its practically not possible, we will get hurt if we use our hearts in business, but we end up hurting others when we use our heads, and justify saying that its "Business". We all would have noticed, most of the Top Heads in corporates are always with a grin and stress in their faces, they hardly smile for anything in fact, they spread stress and tension across. Why are people so serious? What are they going to lose by speaking softly with a smile? Some may even feel what I write as crap, but the this is the fact. Why should business be given an exception when it comes to human values. Showing anger was once considered a weakness, today its a symbol of dignity. What The Hell!! This doesn't mean that people should smile when things go wrong. No boss will/should tolerate when employees take him for granted, but the anger must be artificial. Life is too shot to take it seriously. Business , money and comfort should keep us moving and elevate us in life. We are supposed to make a living out of business and not business and money out of Living.
Once we start loving the small circle of people who surround us, we will eventually start giving it to a bigger circle.Love has no reward, Love is its own reward. Its not hard at all, coz its our true self. Once we get that taste we will never want to lose it.
